A viral quote has been making the rounds where Priyanka Chopra has been attributed to have said, “Don’t look for a virgin as a wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night but manners last forever.”

The statement is being pulled out of context stating that the Heads of State actress is advising men to not look for a wife who is a virgin. Earlier today, Priyanka Chopra shared a post making such claims on her Instagram story and urged people to not believe everything they see online.

Businessman and Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur died on June 12 after suffering a heart attack during a polo match in London. He was 53.

• Following his death, an old anniversary post by his wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, resurfaced on social media. 
• In a heartfelt anniversary message, she wrote, “Happy anniversary, my handsome husband. Love you unconditionally. I always knew you could run together, we fly! With you, life has been filled with laughter, happiness, excitement, adventure and madness! You make me my better half…thank you for always being there for me and, most importantly, for us!Reports indicated that Sunjay suffered a heart attack after swallowing a bee during the match. This was later confirmed by business consultant Suhel Seth. Sources said that Kapur began to feel suffocated and asked to stop the game. He stepped out of the field and later suffered a heart attack.
• Sunjay was playing polo at the Guards Polo Club and was part of the team Aureus, which he also patronised. The match was against Sujan, a team run by hotelier Jaisal Singh.
• His last rites were reportedly delayed due to legal formalities linked to his US citizenship. Ashok Sachdev, Sunjay’s father-in-law, earlier told NDTV that once the necessary paperwork is completed, his body will be brought to India for the final rites.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is set to marry Lauren Sanchez in a grand celebration in Venice. The high-profile wedding, which is expected to take place between June 26 and 28, will bring in around 200 to 500 guests, including celebrities, tech billionaires and political elites.

Who is Lauren Sanchez?

New Delhi:

The transport ministry has made the anti-lock braking system mandatory for all new two-wheelers manufactured after January next year, irrespective of engine capacity, to enhance riders’ safety.

The ministry, in a notification, said that at the time of purchase of a two-wheeler, the manufacturer will supply two protective headgear, conforming to specifications prescribed by the Bureau of Indian Standards.

“Provided further that vehicles of category L2 manufactured on and after 1st January 2026, in case of all models, shall be fitted with Anti-lock Braking System conforming to the IS14664:2010,” a notification said.

The anti-lock braking system is designed to prevent wheel lock-up during sudden braking, reducing the likelihood of skidding and crashing.

According to the government’s latest data, two-wheelers were involved in nearly 20 per cent of India’s 1,51,997 road accidents in 2022.

Chandigarh:

The mother of jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and another person accompanying her died after being shot at by unidentified bike-borne people in Punjab’s Batala, police said on Friday.

Harjit Kaur was critically injured after the incident around 9:30 pm on Thursday and was referred to a hospital in Amritsar, but she succumbed to the bullet injuries, a senior police official from Batala said over the phone.

The incident took place on Qadian road which falls under the Civil Lines area.

“Unidentified bike-borne persons opened fire when Harjit Kaur and another person Karanvir Singh were in the car,” Deputy Superintendent of Police, Batala, Paramveer Singh said.

The DSP said Karanvir was declared dead at the Batala Civil hospital. The attackers fled from the spot and efforts are on to nab them, he added.

The DSP said a case has been registered and teams have been formed to nab the killers. “We are investigating the motive behind the incident,” he said.Both the victims sustained bullet injuries on face, chest, and stomach, officials said.

Harjit Kaur, who hails from Bhagwanpur, was earlier elected as a member of village panchayat.

In March, jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria had been detained under the PIT-NDPS Act and shifted from central jail in Bathinda to Assam’s Silchar jail.

Bhagwanpuria was already in the custody of Punjab Police in the 2022 Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Besides, he faces several other cases.
